Des Moines LOW BRASS DAY

March 28, 2015 @ 9:00 am - 5:00 pm

Spend a day working with the finest Low Brass Playing musicians in the great state of Iowa.

CASEY MADAY (2nd Trombone DMSO, Principal Trombone Orchestra Iowa, Principal Trombone Waterloo-Cedar Falls Symphony Orchestra), WILL BAKER (Bass Trombone DMSO and Orchestra Iowa), and BO ATLAS (Principal Tuba DMSO) want to invite students of all ages to their first ever LOW BRASS DAY. Students will learn brass techniques that will improve their music making, sound production, breathing, ensemble playing, and practice efficiency. The day will feature performances and masterclasses led by the faculty trio, as well as group rehearsals, 1 on 1 instruction, sectionals, and much more.

The day culminates with a performance by YOU (as part of the Large Student Ensemble) at the Civic Center, prior to the DMSO Concert.

Immediately after the performance, students will be provided with FREE tickets to the Des Moines Symphony Performance. This is an educational opportunity you CANNOT MISS!

If your son or daughter has anything but a great experience, we will refund your money.

All signups are $50!
